该剧根据上世纪八十年代由首届茅盾文学奖获得者周克芹创作的小说《许茂和他的女儿们》为背景，续写了改革开放三十年来，许茂一家的生活变迁，展现出中国南方农村新时代的生活图景。一家人风雨坎坷三十年，他们的沧桑命运，他们的是非恩怨，他们的爱恨情仇以小见大的折射出新农村的新风貌。。在邪恶的“waxwork”蜡像馆被火烧毁后，噩梦并没有结束，蜡像的残余黑暗力量仍在四处作孽，萨拉的父亲也因此丧命，自己则成为杀人嫌犯。为了彻底平息这场灾难，萨拉与马克决定独闯龙潭，再回蜡像馆找出这场事件的真凶，没想到迎接他们的依然是那些充满怪物、变态和丧尸的世界……。Lavinia, Carla and Danila have just finished high school and are leaving together for a vacation on a sailboat.
