1996年的洛杉矶有一个不按常规办案的“毁灭者”约翰·斯帕里，为捉拿绰号“铁凤凰”的凶犯，赔了三十多条人命，因此被判刑冰冻七十年，而“铁凤凰”则被判终生冰冻。 到了2032年，在一次例行检查中，“铁凤凰”解冻逃脱，警方只好将“毁灭者”提前解冻，让他缉拿案犯归监。不过，36年过去，城里的一切都已大变样，就是警匪之间的游戏规则也已不同；而他们二人却仍像过去一样横冲直撞，搅得天翻地覆...。By scanning the locations at the bottom of the ocean where sunken ships, treasures and even cities lie, the show tries to answer what they look like, how they got there and if they hide any secrets.。
