影片根据同名话剧改编，讲述17岁的少女在非正常的成人世界中，与同年级的朋友一起经历的故事。。1945年，30岁的抗日游击队成员钟定国（陈家乐饰）被日军擒获后，被冷冻长埋实验室，直至七十三年后（2018年）才于意外中被解冻苏醒。定国千辛万苦终于在2018年找到年届73岁的儿子贺和平（姜大卫饰）、47岁的孙儿贺永年（黎耀祥饰）及15岁的曾孙贺嘉诚（罗梓龙饰），却发现贺和平为人狡猾，骗取综援；贺永年则迷信风水命理，贪钱成性。钟定国惟有力挽狂澜，希望将子孙拉回正途。 与此同时，锺定国被香港政府安排到社会福利署工作，并结识了中日混血儿庄司晨（林夏薇饰），更冲破矛盾相恋。庄司晨的姨母，神秘女富豪翁芷荞（夏文汐饰）恋上暖男才俊汤泽澄（黎诺懿饰），却牵涉在汤泽澄的谋杀官司，为摆脱罪名，聘请已成为著名玄学家的贺永年摆风水阵作法。贺永年财迷心窍，罔顾是非黑白，种下祸根，更牵连到贺和平及钟定国，卷入另一宗谋杀案，一切不幸的事也从此刻开始，灾祸也陆续...。Michael is a successful actor, but he has a scandal in his past: at a tender age he knifed his father to death.
